Meet Mike Wright
Mike founded Yellow Be in 2020 to give financial institutions a leaner, more cost-effective alternative to traditional IT providers. He brings over two decades in capital-markets technology, with deep, hands-on expertise in SS&C Advent Geneva and portfolio accounting across listed equities, CFDs, securities lending, bonds, futures and options.
As a founding member of a prime brokerage business, he implemented Geneva end-to-end and built an operating model that scaled to serve a significant share of the South African hedge-fund market. At Rand Merchant Bank he led equities technology at CIO level and delivered a Calypso-to-Geneva migration that delivered significant savings, later holding Chief Digital Officer roles at Ashburton Investments and Nedbank-backed Karri Payments.
Mike holds a B.Com. from Stellenbosch University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford — the foundation for Yellow Be’s move into secure, AI-powered software through its Lynctera platform.
